Central and southern Delaware healthcare leaders Bayhealth and PAM Health Rehabilitation celebrated a ribbon cutting in honor of the opening of their new freestanding rehabilitation hospital in Milford, Delaware and as a continuation of their joint venture to expand rehabilitation services.
“We are truly excited to increase access to care in Sussex and Kent counties as we expand our Bayhealth Sussex Campus,” said Vice President, Operations & Administrator, Bayhealth Sussex Campus, Michael Ashton, MPH, FACHE. “Aside from being experts in the medical rehabilitation industry, PAM Health shares Bayhealth’s deeply held commitment to meeting the growing needs of our communities and to carrying out our mission to strengthen the health of our community.”
The new stand-alone location sits on the Bayhealth Sussex Campus and is equipped with 40 private rooms, an in-house pharmacy, and gyms with state-of-the-art therapeutic equipment for outpatient and inpatient therapy.
“We are very excited to continue to care for patients and families in our new free standing rehabilitation hospital,” PAM Health Market Director of Strategy and Integration Erin DelFarno said. “As the only providers of Acute Rehab in Kent and Sussex County we will focus on being a resource for our community while providing the highest level of rehabilitative care. We are incredibly grateful for our partnership with Bayhealth and looking forward to the future with them.”
The Milford post-acute care hospital staff is comprised of experienced physicians, disease specialists, occupational and physical therapists, speech pathologists, and registered nurses trained in rehabilitation.
