Bayhealth Welcomes Brandt Feuerstein, MD, FACS, to Board of Directors

Bayhealth is pleased to welcome Brandt Feuerstein, MD, FACS, to the Bayhealth Board of Directors. A respected general surgeon who has practiced in Dover since 2001, Dr. Feuerstein brings extensive clinical, administrative and community service experience to the health system’s governance.
“We are very pleased to welcome Dr. Feuerstein to the Bayhealth Board of Directors,” said Bayhealth President and CEO Terry Murphy, MHSA, FACHE. “His longstanding commitment to patients, proven leadership and deep connection to the community will bring an important perspective as we continue serving the healthcare needs of central and southern Delaware.”
Dr. Feuerstein replaces Cedric Barnes, MD, following Dr. Barnes’ departure from the board earlier this year. Bayhealth thanks Dr. Barnes for his service and contributions to the organization.
Originally from northern New Jersey, Dr. Feuerstein graduated from Haverford College, studied at the University of Pennsylvania and earned his medical degree from Jefferson Medical College. He completed his surgical training within the Jefferson Health System and at Lankenau Hospital.
In 2006, Dr. Feuerstein founded The Vein Center at Eden Hill, where he has treated thousands of patients with venous diseases while continuing his general surgery practice.
A past chief of surgery, Dr. Feuerstein has served on hospital credentials and performance committees and spent 15 years on the board of The Delaware Surgery Center. His experience in quality, credentialing and governance will support the Bayhealth board as it advances high-quality, patient-centered care across Delaware.
Dr. Feuerstein also leads medical missions that provide surgical care and critical medical supplies to underserved communities in South and Central America. His honors include recognition as a physician champion for patient-centered care, designation as a Rotary Club Paul Harris Fellow and selection as a Best of Delaware physician for women.
