My Inspiration

My journey becoming a family nurse practitioner was shaped by my own experience living with Type 1 diabetes and witnessing firsthand the importance of access to quality health care in Sussex County. Those experiences inspired me to pursue a career focused on helping patients and families navigate everyday health concerns and life's challenges. My background in critical care strengthened my skills in communication, teamwork and patient advocacy while reinforcing the value of treating every person with dignity and compassion. I chose primary care because it allows me to focus on prevention, education and building meaningful, long-term relationships with the community I call home. 

What I’m Passionate About

I am passionate about delivering evidence-based, individualized care that empowers patients to take an active role in their health. I believe that listening, education and open communication are essential to achieving best outcomes. My clinical interests include diabetes management, endocrinology, chronic disease prevention and LGBTQ+ health. I am committed to staying current with emerging treatments, guidelines and health care technologies so I can provide the highest quality care to my patients. 

Off the Clock

When I'm not caring for patients, I enjoy spending time with my partner, family and friends. I have a passion for music and collecting vinyl records, and I enjoy spending time outdoors – especially kayaking and exploring the natural beauty of Delaware.
