My Inspiration

Growing up in India, I was able to see a variety of tropical infectious diseases that made me interested in the field. I am constantly inspired by the strength, courage and resilience patients show during their fight with complicated illnesses.

What I’m Passionate About

I specialize in general infectious diseases with an emphasis on bone and joint infections, diabetic foot infections, HIV, Hepatitis B and C, and infective endocarditis to name a few. For many infections, once you make the diagnosis and choose the right antibiotic, a patient makes a full recovery which is very satisfying to me as a physician. What I enjoy most about the profession is the interactions with patients.

Off the Clock

I love traveling and would like to visit all 50 states in the U.S. in my lifetime. I enjoy Bollywood movies and music. I am an avid Pittsburg Steelers fan and enjoy NFL games.
